TNPSC 2007 - Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission - Exam for Selecting Assistant Surgeons 2007

Good News to the Fresh recruits... The following is taken from the Policy Note of Tamil Nadu Government, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms
(http://www.tn.gov.in/policynotes/pdf/P_and_AR.pdf)

In the year 2006-2007, 1477 Medical Officers have been recruited by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission. It has been proposed to regularize the services of 1055 Civil Assistant Surgeon who worked on contract basis through a Special Qualifying Examination to be conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission. Further, it has also been ordered to recruit 290 Assistant Medical Officers and 16 Assistant Medical Officers (Dental) through the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission.

HI Dr Bruno , what is departmental exams for TNPSC ? i saw a advertisement in HIndu paper that TNPSC are calling up for departmental exams ...is this the one for recruiting new service candidates ? please inform us if any info is being put on this exams ....

thanks for the prompt reply...I am ready to take the exam ..but i cant undestand you to the core ...If i get selected in the exam ..what will be next ? will i be posted in rural areas ? if yes how to apply?

plz help in this regard..

For getting posted in a PHC / GH / Medical College, you need to appear in the TNPSC Exams "Recruitment for Assistant Surgeons"

Last time it was conducted in October 2005

and before that in Oct 2003

Only when you are selected in those exams you will be posted in government Institutions

After you have been posted, you need to clear two exams (Medical Code and Accounts test for EO) conducted by TNPSC for completion of your probation.

You can even clear these exams before getting selected for TNPSC

1.Candidates can avail themselves of the facility of applying Online on the commissions ‘Website

with cost of Application Rs.30/- and Examination Fee Rs.50/- for each test . Candidates who are unable
to avail of the above facility can apply in the form obtained from the commissions Office on payment of requisite application
fee of Rs.30/- in the form of I.P.O. or in the form of a Crossed Account Payee Demand Draft as specified in the Tamil Nadu
Public Service Commission Advertisement dated 01.09.2007. by post.
(a).The application forms can also be obtained in person from the sales counter of the office of the Tamil Nadu
Public Service Commission, Omanthoorar Government Estate,Anna Salai, Chennai-600002 till 5.00 p.m. on the closing date
ie 04-10-2007 with lunch interval, between 1.30 to 2.00 p.m. on payment of Rs.30/- (Rupees Thirty only) in cash
(b) Examination/Application Fee.
Candidates should make sure that he has acquired the Demand Draft or Indian Postal Orders or Postal Receipts
obtained from anyone of the post offices listed in Annuxure-II to the commission Notification for the requisite number of tests
that he is applying for, before registering Online. “CANDIDATES WILL NOTE THAT APPLICATION FEE OF Rs.30/-ALSO
WILL HAVE TO BE INCLUDED TO THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF EXAMINATION FEE PRESCRIBED FOR THE TESTS
APPLIED FOR AND OBTAIN THE DEMAND DRAFT/INDIAN POSTAL ORDERS/POSTAL RECEIPT * ACCORDINGLY’’.
(c) The Examination fee and the Test Code details are available on the Commission’s Website’www.TNPSC .gov.in’.
(d) The Candidates can Register their particulars through online till 5.45 p.m. on 1.10.2007. In the printout they
should sign both in the Application and Identification Certificate and should send their signed application along with the
enclosures (including DD/I.P.O./Postal Receipts to the commission’s office before 4.10.2007. 5.45 p.m.
(e) The Postal Receipts obtained for the payment of cost of Application /Examination Fee (excluding postal service
charge Rs.5/- should be pasted in the space provided in the application.
(f) The Candidates opting to apply online shall also abide by the commission instructions laid down in this
notification
