The selection system for gp in england is different from that of scotland
In england the job offers are made depending on the 1st preference of the candidates
(ie if one applies first option as gp/or gp only and another opts for medicine first option and gp second option ,
the guy applying for gp as fist option/only option gets the job even if he SCORES LESS THAN THE GUY WHO OPTED MEDICINE/OTHER SPECIALITY AS FIRST OPTION AND GP AS SECOND

In scotland it is based on the score at interview
IN SCOTLAND GP JOB WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES EVEN IF THEY APPLIED MEDICINE AS FIRST AND GP AS SECOND
IF THEY GET THEIR FIRST OPTION THEN THEY CAN REJECT GP OFFER SOMETIME AT THE END OF MAY OR BEGINNING JUNE AND THE GUY WHO APPLIED GP AS FIRST OR ONLY OPTION CAN TAKE IT

THIS IS A FLAW IN MAKING JOB OFFERS
PEOPLE WHO APPLIED TO SCOTLAND ARE GETTING DISADVANTAGED
AND THOSE APLYING TO ENGLAND ARE GETTING AN UNFAIR ADVANTAGE

I HAVE CHECKED WITH CHRISTINE COOK (SCOT GP/MMC)
AND ALSO WITH GAI EVANS (GP RECRUITMENT)
THEY SAID GP RECRUITMENT IS NOW DEALING ENGLAND AND WALES AND SCOTLAND IS DIFFERENT

i just saw in doctors.net forum that some people have actually started getting the results over the email...check ur mail..i am soo worried..not sure which deaneries have started sending themm..i will post if i get the details

its mentioned F1 doctors which is not practically possible in doctors.net.uk.So any idea wats happening.please let us know if there ia any further information.

gpvts website says results will be declared in england and wales by 8th May. what about scotland?????
