Guys I’m starting an exam score thread for Step1. Since continuous self assessment is the best way to improve, this thread would help us compare our performances with others who’ve taken the exam. I’ve collected some of these scores from net of the people who've taken step1 during last year. i'm posting them here to give you guys an initial idea of how people are doing on various resources. I request all of you to add your data as they’re available to you. If someone doesn’t want to post using his/her id, they can PM me and I’ll post it for them..

A few points to consider here are:
- These scores I’ve selected randomly and don’t represent the actual distribution. Don’t get flustered seeing more 99s here. Just that 99 guys are more likely to share their scores.
- While posting your scores try to be organized and clear like your exam date, score report date and anything additional you want us to note.

1. Step1 Score - 261/99
Kaplan q bank 81 (initially was in 50s)
NBME - not done

2. Step1 Score - 94/232
Qbook: 72%
Qbank: 76% (month prior to exam)

3. Step1 Score – 96/238
Kaplan Diagnostic: 64%
Kaplan Mock: 72%
Kaplan Online Test: 66% (3 days before actual Step 1 exam)
NBME 1: 530 (92%) - 2 weeks before actual step 1

4. Step1 Score – 99/249
Kaplan Qbank - 71% average (4 months before)
Kaplan Qbook - 75% avg (1 month before)
A & L book - 77% average (1 month before)
NBME1 - 490 (88) 1 month before (done in a very rushed situation as i had very bad internet connection)
USMLE CD : 42/39/41 (the night before)

5. Step1 Score – 90/223
Q-bank score/% complete: 74/100
USMLE CD/ time b4 exam: 86%/4 day
Kaplan full length: 74%

6. Step1 Score - 99/252
Kaplan q book after 1 reading 70% (54-88)

21. Step1 Score – 87/215
Kaplan Qbank: 60% overall (i started very early in my prep and was scoring low, but i was consistently scoring 75% plus in the final blocks two weeks before exam.)
Qbook: 80% plus on Patho-Phys, 70% in the rest.
USMLE CD: over all 72%.

22. Step1 Score - 88/218
NBME form 2: 460 (taken 6 weeks before)
NBME form 3: 500 (taken 4 weeks before)
USMLE CD: 38/40/40 (3 months/ 1 month/ 2 days)
Q-bank, ended up in the 70%-80% range avg.
BSS (Board Simulator Series) books (did 3 out of the 5), 60-63% avg.
Blackwells 350 Q test all in one sitting, 2 months out. 73%

23. Step1 Score - 92/226
Kaplan simulated cd score 78%
Q bank score overall 80%

Robbins Review 75% the first time and 83% the second time
Goljan Comprehensive exam 87%
NBME 3 & 4 - In bootlegged format, so no score.

Kaplan Q book ;- 60 -70% (30% completed)
Kaplan Q bank ;- 62% (for 3 months, 100% completed, and finished 2 weeks before the exam. but last ten blocks-68%)
UW Qbank:- 68% (70% completed during last two weeks)
USMLE CD :- 39, 44, 45 (one week before exam)

35. Step1 Score – 83/203
Qbank: 60%(8 months before test)
Qbook: 65-70%
UsmleRx: 66%(only did 20%)
NBME 1/3 days before test: 450(206/84)
BSS(Board Simulator Series) books (did 3 out of the 5): 50-60%

36. Step1 Score – 76/187
USMLE world : 51% (1.5 mths b4 exam)
Kaplan Q-book : b/w 50-80%
NBME form 3 : 340 (1.5 mths b4 exam)
NBME form 2: 420 (1 week b4 exam)

USMLE WORLD: 60-65%
NBME Form1: 640(3wks before exam)

38. Step1 Score – 95/235
USMLE world : 63% (1.5 mths b4 exam)
USMLE CD :- 43, 49, 38 (10 days before exam)

39. Step1 Score - 84/206
Kaplan Qbank: 70%
USMLE CD 35/36/39
Robbins Patho also around 70%
NBME 1: 201 (3 weeks before)
NBME 2: 221 (3 days before) - due to some unmarked Q from the forum

40. Step1 Score - 94/225
NBME- 540, 1 and 3 weeks before the exam
Kaplan Qbank- 70/ 100%
USMLE world- 60/ 100%
USMLE CD- 38, 40, 45

From this point the scale appears to have changed and people now 236 corresponds to 99 against earlier 244. This has happened most probably after Jan, 07.

My observations about this current scale have been:
226 = 94
227 = 95
233 = 97
235 = 9 8
236 = 99

UW score 72%(just before exam)
Kaplan Q bank score 76%(3 months before exam)
NBME 2 score 480(4 months before exam)
NBME 3 score 490(3 months before exam)

42. Step1 Score - 99/250
USMLE CD - 3 months before the test:39/40/41
NBME form 1 3 weeks before:600
Kaplan Qbank subject wise and untimed: 76%

43. Step1 Score – 99/237
Kap Qbank score 72, 90% completed
UW 60%, 52 percent completed
USMLE CD 42/42/40

44. Step1 Score – 99/267
Usmleworld score: 77%
USMLE CD 1 week before exam: 47/46/48
Also downloaded NBME forms and was doing 47/50 on average for each form.

45. Step1 Score – 97/233
Kaplan Q book: not done
Kaplan Q bank, NMBE: not done
UW: 59% cumulative, 100% completed

46. Step1 Score – 99/236
Kap Q-Book : started from 60% but finally averaged 80-82%
Kap Q-Bank : unable to complete
UW : ~60%
Kap Simulated -71% [1 week prior]
USMLE CD: 43/33/39 2wks prior
NBME-1 : 610/242/[snip] 5days before

47. Step1 Score – [snip]/235
Qbank 73% only did 45%
USMLE CD= 82%
NBME 1= 226 one month before
NBME 2= 236 two weeks before
NBME 3= 234 7 days before

48. Step1 Score - 231/96
Kaplan Qbook - 75%
Kaplan Qbank - 77% (early 90s by end)
USMLE CD - mid-late 40s

49. Step1 Score – 90/218
NBME1 430 1.5 months before
NBME2 440 1 month before
NBME 3 500 the day before the test
USMLEWORLD 68% but not very representative because I did it 2 times and that was the second one. The first one must have been around 45%.
USMLE CD - 42/40/38

50. Step1 Score - 94/225
NBME- 540, 1 and 3 weeks before the exam
Kaplan q-bank- 70/ 100%
USMLE world- 60/ 100%
USMLE cd- 38, 40, 45

51. Step1 Score – 92/221
USMLE CD about 2 weeks before the exam: slightly over 60%
Kaplan Qbook (which I didn't get to finish): ~ 60% also.

52. Step1 Score – 85/210
NBME2-400(3months bfr)
NBME 4-390(1.5 mothn bfr)
NBME-470/211(1 month bfr)
UW average 51 % and 50 percentile.i did UW vigrously after doing my last NBME.
Q-bank between 45-75%.
USMLE CD - 71%.

53. Step1 Score – 84/207
NBME 1 = 360
NBME 2 = 430
Kaplan Q-bank= 66%
Usmleworld= 55%

54. Step1 Score – 79/194
USMLE World - 55%
