ref from some press news :

We the students of Luzhou Medical college in china hav been badly cheated By [SNIP] which is in our own country india.our future is in darkness we think becaus the things here we face are terrible.this college somehow always tries to make us pay for such things which we dont use.For all these benifits college pays commision to the Saraswationline.we use electricity thats ok but if the bill comes we never ever can imagine or guess.college gives us fake bill and earns lots of money.this college already is in bank loan depth.it was abou to close also but because of brokers in india it has made its way out. [SNIP] for batch 2004 gave us written form in which it mentioned that we will be allowed outstay.but it is about to finish 2nd year and we still live in college hostel.for each student they charge 500 U.S dollars.in 1 room 2 students.we pay 5 times more than chinese students so we get little facility but what the hell is that fake electricity bill without government stamp on it.they do whatever they like.they are making money which we cant afford.we are not from rich family.our parents took loans from some banks and we came here but here everything comes if they get money.Money speaks here.teachers from india in this college also make money askin 500 chinese Rmb to pass Anatomy .. teacher is [SNIP] .things in other colleges areequally bad.we are taught by chinese teachers .yes becaus they can make some ways to benifit [SNIP] .these are not teachers these are businessmen and politicians.they play dirty game wit our future.money cant pay back our past and future.the 60% car owners of this Luzhou city are somehow linked with Luzhou Medical college.students coming from nepal pay 1 lakh indian currency less than indian students because [SNIP] wants to make its good future but why playin wit so many future of our country citizens.our government of india must take some action against it.our country’s economy is bein spent in china.its not even good for we indians.[SNIP] gives adds in newspapers sayin it brings 80% result.haha it never can if the exams are fair here.but money speaks as i remember we were supposed to pay money to pass medical.is it a joke?we in future are going to deal with human life.life cant be wasted just because of fake degree. if the exams are real fair then only few students can pass out.

Well bones,
It's far better for the students in Luzhou. In Da Li University, they Cut the power supply to the dormitory at night. And the students were informed that they have to pay maintenance charges which they did'nt haVe to pay before. More over the university collects Medical insurance charges which is never refunded in case of the student requiring treatment. God help us.

I'm sure that [SNIP]pockets that money too, since they are the agents for this fake university too. God help us.

I'm not a student bones. I am a teacher. An unfortunate Indian doctor trying to build a career in a an unfortunate situation. My heartfelt sympathies to you and all my students.
Man. what a scam! Nixon and the Watergate is nursery stuff compared to this. Do U know Da Li University is not even on the chinese universities list? And Partha Ganguli and Bose are promising the medical world to these idiot students. Pathetic really. Our gullibility.

disagreement
i used to agree with all the above points until last semester.. But now i am compelled to say that LZMC is one of the worst destiny for medical study..... How many south asian teachers do we have now???? Which subjects are taught according to the curriculum or nepal or india??? How many subjects are we having this semester?? How many teaching hours we have this semester????

i think these questions don't need answer... But these questions are themselves telling the present quality of LZMC....

posted in orkut by the student from same university

Dear Bones,
It is indeed very disturbing to note the fact that quality seems to be an embarassing issue here. I for one, am amazed at the nonchalance with which the university staff treat this international MBBS
program. Exams are a farce. Do you know they have instituted resit exams for semester (Internal assessment) exams. It's a running joke. I could'nt stop laughing when the dean informed me that "resit exams would make the students work harder".
The latest bungle was when they decided to finish Pathology which as you know, is the largest and most important subject, in one semester.
I'm quitting this semester, mate. I'm going on to do something else. But wot about you? Did you ever think about wot will be the possible events in the near future?

Here are some possible senarios:
Senario 1: The MCI continues with it's stubborn stance of not recognising foriegn degrees except under a mutual recognition treaty. In that case you will be one among the hundreds of FGIDs(Foriegn Graduated Indian Doctors) queing up in other countries for potentially luurative employment and you will also be forced to endure immigration problems and Licensing exams.
Scenario 2: The MCI relents and may be under a mutual degree recognition program allow students to practice in India. But the sad fact is that FGIDs get only about 1/3 rd the salary that an Indian graduate gets. Most hospitals and nursing homes only employ them on night shifts. I worked in many Indian hospitals. I know the scenario.
Scenario 3: You graduate and look for alternative careers other than as a physician or a surgeon. There are numerous good careers if you look around and they all are good for a health education background.

Scenario 3 seems to be a good option to me, so I'm listing out some of the possible careers for you:
1. Hospital Architecture (Do a Diploma and team up with a Bulider)
2. Premedical teaching (MD Anatomy , Physiology Biochemistry )
3. Biotechnology
4. Pharmaceutical trading
5. Hospital Administration (Sit for GATE exams and get into IIM for MBA )
These careers don't require you to appear for licencing exams and are quite lucurative too. But choose your university carefully and don't get lured by agents the next time round.

HEY DECCANPLATO,
that was really great informative post from u r end. am very thankful to u for u r invaluable suggestions. and i agree 101% with u r future predictions about munnabhai made in china.
its really sad to read about the fate of students who are undergoing fake training in the name of mbbs.
well, as u said about Pathology its just going to further necrose their chances of clearing not only screening exam but also other international license exams . as u r quite aware of Pathology weightage in USMLE step 1.
wel coming to u r predictable scenarios there is no doubts about them i just wonder at u r forsight how aptly u have figured out the fate of mbbs china.
even i have come across many indian medicos (from Russia ) who were posted here in indian hospital with their indian counterpart and beleive me they r nothing but walking fools for teaching prof. and nursing staff. i was just feeling sorry at the plight of these foriegn return indian docs . no wonder. as u said, these foriegn docs are only in demand in corporate hospital at 1/4th of salary of indian counterpart...just u open up any local news paper here in india and u wil notice many advertisement seeking russian MD for night duties.
coming to MCI recognition, beleive me my brother, its not going to happen as things are quite disturbing and MCI can no longer be entertained by these pvt. consultants.
alternate career cited by u seems quite facinating and respite from the rotine .
wel, at the end ,again i thank u for writing eye opening and thought provoking post. keep posting

collect passport of all students go to indian embassy, all students if possible,or all those who regret of being there, tell them u want to come back to india n u want u r money back, without a proactive role nothing much will be done, bargain hard n never feel being let down u have to fight u r own battles,n start right now.....
i m a clinician n prctising in india........u must plan out what u want n whether u can do what u want......no one will come out of way to help u out.........tighten u r belts n get things done as u people want,as u all r producers of the act n the scene must end with what u want.....
take care n best of luck
