This avenue is still not ventured into, and i am quite unaware as well as unexperience about the topic you have a query about.
But i will try to help as much as i can.
1. Try to find teachers, or institutions, that have international collaborations, like ICMR, or some Private Medical Research organisations. Please do through the various threads on this forum to gain access to the websites of these organisations as well institutes.
I shall post more addresses.
2. You may try to attend conferences in these Countries, and present and send in a manuscript of your previous researches as well. Contacts can be made, and research opportunities shall be given as well. I got an offer as well from a conference.
3. Some colleges in USA do give research opportunities, but only after you have established that you have done researches previously and were successful at that. And some colleges give opportunities to the students who are studying with them.
4. Organizations with international collaborations are the best bet. As well as internation conferences.

agreed to rajju that international collaboration is a good channel, seen lot people getting this kind of opportunities....only problem is it takes time to be in a position in that organization that one is considered in the international collaboration....depends on lot of things...personal competence,skills....internal politics/power game in the organization ( very much common!)...

Another good and possibly better way is to go for a study abroad...if its a research degree then itself the study is doing research( eg Masters, Mphils and obviously the PhD)....And more importantly being there opens up lot many research opportunites later on eg getting another masters...from masters to PhD....PhD to post doctoral....if u r really good...its always better to be in abroad to maximize chances of further greater research out there !....enter rather small, return big..u never know..try ur best...
