This shoe designed by Adidas has been due to 3 years extensive research by the shoe makers before being launched in 2005.
Each shoe contains a microprocessor capable of making 5 million calculations per second.

A magnetic sensor in the shoe's heel measures its compression on impact, taking 1,000 readings per second.
A secret algorithm then decides on the optimal amount of cushioning required.

To achieve that, a tiny electric motor, spinning at 6,000 rpm, turns a metal rod that adjusts the hollow plastic heel. All of this is powered by a replaceable 3-volt battery said to last for 100 hours

Only deterrent to this is a cost of $250 that is too much even for a shoe with this much capability.

icon_smile.gif Yes nice thread indeed! and nice shoes too.. 250$ means Rs 10,000/- Its not a big prize for a brand like Adidas. I hope 250$ is for a pair of shoes and not 250/piece. icon_smile.gif

Now moving ahead to the next gadget which i think is mighty useful for most people on techzone.

It is called the FREELOADER.It is an advanced portable charging system that can power any hand held device anywhere, anytime and it is a a solar powered charging station.

What makes the Freeloader different to other solar powered charging devices is that you can charge the Freeloader up in the daytime and then at night connect it to your gadgets and let them recharge off the Freeloader’s battery and if you happen to need to charge the Freeloader at night you can always charge it via the USB port and then use it to charge your other devices

Here's something different from the usual gadget stuff. With advances in technology even Designers are becoming tech savvy.Polo Ralph Lauren has recently opened a hi-tech store in London .It's store window is very different from the static see-through displays that we see every day. It has actually been enhanced with technology to become a virtual store. Passers by can check out the goods within as with any regular store, but can also place their order there and then as well via the touchscreen, be it day or night. Even people who are not sure about buying can send the product information to their email address for future reference and buy from home.So the next time anyone going to London should check out this store .
