I have done DCH and I took part 1a and passed in first attempt last year and part 1b this year in may, planning to sit for part 2 next year in April . Dr.Ameen are you aware of the time restriction for the Clinicals has been lifted . We no more have the time restriction of 2 years after part 2 written ( read the latest changes section of part 2 in rcpch website ), but the 3 attempts limit still holds.

That was good news which i had missed.but was the attempt limit there before?part 3 is gonna be the hurdle.part 1b my paper in jan was quite tough.youshould read inside out their favourite topics like IBD CF etc.good Pathology
,Investigations were asked.answers were very close.so read well the common UK topics, the least important topics for indian students.

Hello drameen.I am also thinking of appearing in the MRCPCH
-2 but thought that it could be very difficult to pass this without any UK experience. As i have been to Uk and done clinical attachment.i would say this is extremely difficult. They are very particular about the protocols, communication and need specific answers. This is an uphill task without a practical experience.
I am not sure about making the attempt from India .
Not discouraging but this is my personal opinion.
All the best.Hope to be in touch after the exam
