Hi RXPG friend's want ur attention on following mistake

"Q.35 - pg 181 Surgery for PGMEE 2nd edition (chapter on pancreas)
or
Q.31 - pg 164 Surgery for PGMEE 1st edition (chapter on pancreas)
or
Q.1392 - pg 3.68 AAA volume 2."

The question (asked in PGI ' 02 ) goes as follows

Q. - True about pancraetic Ca :-
a) Most common symptom is pain.
b) Ca head of pancreas causes obstruction of
both pancreatic & billiary duct
c) Smoking predisposes
d)Family H/O familial adenomatous polyposis syndromme

Ans. b & c (given)

but d. is also correct (refer schwartz 8th ed. pg. 1277{left column} )

Its given (in schwartz pg. 1277 )that:-
"Rare familial cancer syndrommes that are assosiated with an increased risk of pancraetic risk include :-
- BRCA2
- FAMM Syndromme
- Hereditary pancreatitis
- Familial adenomatous polyposis
- HNPCC
- Peutz-Jeghers syndromme
- Ataxia-Telangiectasia

So the correct answer is b,c & d
Best regards
