I dont know if it means Men are dominant...but to me it sure seems to say that WOMEN ARE ALWAYS INNOCENT AND WILL NEVER TAKE ADVANTAGE OF A MALE.

This is what the law says. There is no vice versa in the above sentence. I dont think there is a need as per law for a male attendant bcoz in our country there are very few cases in which a female have molested a male.

I think the lady doctor can insist on the presence of a male attendant to prevent any misbehaviour towards her by the patient.

hi friends.

rules are made to protect the vulnerable section of society.keeping in mind the legal allegations while checking the female patient this law is made.especially in obs.dept. when it come to do the internal examination.there are many cases recorded in court if law of female patients complaing of assoult.in most instances it is misunderstndig.this provision is made to protect male doctor as female witness wiil tell nothing illegal happened behind the cuartions.
question is about why it is not compulsory in case of female doctors?it will be implemented only when some male patients will complain about that.do u think will that happen?
