hey i've just got admission in mbbs and im really confused as to which books to buy....everybody is naming different authors....i hav never ever been so confused before....plus im already having nightmares about it even though studies havn't started coz every1 has been sayin that mbbs is gonna be hell......im so so so tensed....can somebody pllllsssss give out a detailed list of all the books which would be needed in first year....plus do i need to buy cunninghams dissection manual?????

HI,EVEN I AM STARTING MY MBBS THIS YEAR.WHY NOT SATYANARAYANA FOR Biochemistry ?I THINK THAT IS THE FIRST ONE ONE SHOULD REFER.AND ALSO GANONG AS I HEARD IS FOR PG PREPARATION.ANYWAY,EVEN I HAVE A DOUBT ABT IT.AND AS FOR ATLAS,MOST SAY NETTER.ANYWAY LET ME ALSO KNOW WHEN U HAVE DECIDED WHAT TO BUY.

Ganong is a MUST for PG preparation. Guyton may be useful in MBBS studies, but u will have to buy Ganong later when u try for entrance. So its always wise to get accustomed with books like Ganong or Harper from 1st MBBS itself.

hey is it ok to read ganong straight away without reading guyton...coz ive heard that guyton helps in clearing concepts and ganong is a must for pg prep....so which one should i start with????????

it'll be very difficult to understand ganong at one go!....first get the basics by guyton...and then brush it up wid ganong....
