Hi Nigerdoc, For F2 post you dont need any letter from collge ,and in october you will get registration from GMC. Just keep applying as every one is doing, I am also trying but no luck yet. So you are not only in such condition.
For locum job you need to contact first agencies and check their requirements,if you do not have any uk experience ,it would be difficult.
So we all need just a first break and next step hopefully would be better.

Hi plabfigther,Nice to know that you are from India. It is difficult to get a job here but people are still trying because every one know actually what he wants. So,you have good experience but what are your motives to work here is more important. If youu go for PLAB ,it takes one year to finish with and then look for a job, which seems not easy task. So if you have other option to be in your profession and work as a gynaecologist ,do so insted of going for PLAB .With such experience you will be better off any where icon_smile.gif

hi pan74
thanx for ur comments. do u know any other route other than PLAB ? if u know let me know . as per my knowledge PLAB is the only way to enter in the situation. i don't want to stick to only Obs & gynaec. i am ready to work in other branch as well. To start again sometimes i find quite taxing. my husband got trasfered to u.k. so i am here on resident permit for 5 years. i am very reluctant to start for PLAB .if u know any other option let me know

Hi plabfighter, there are the way through which you can get exempted from PLAB but you need to contact royal colleges and apply for that . you need post graduation qualification and experience . It is of course not easy way, it is time consuming ,they might take 6-8 months to check your documents. And need IELTS score 7.0 in each sections.you can get more information on PBMET web site.
