hi,

I am malaysian citizen planning to take FMGE in 2008.
can only pls tell me what do they mean by gazetted officers to attest the certficates?who are they?can i get it done from the indian embassy here in malysia?
and wat is the meaning of 10 plus 2 certficate-does it mean plus 2 and 10th certificate?
waiting eagerly for the expert opinions.thanks

hi Valli,
1.remember google is ur fren,,so u can get the defination of gazetted officer from there..
2.u can absolutely get ur documents attested from the embassy.
3.10 plus 2 means ur 12 class final boards certificate.,,(ull need both 10th n 12th certificates,so attach both these documents,)

Ques :Who is a gazetted officer?
Ans :A Gazetted officer is a higher-class employee with the government of India, who is given the right by the office he holds, to verify documents and attest photocopies and photographs and such other dubious material. The reason they are labeled as Gazetted officers is because the government publishes a half-yearly list including the names of these officials and details of their promotions, transfers etc, under the title of the Indian National gazette, or something to that effect. Supposedly, the list includes high-ranking officials of all fields, Magistrates, Medical officers, Law enforcement officials, Lecturers and professors of government institution and the like.

is there any overseas citizen who have sat for the FMGE exam so far?

i am a malaysian citizen,but my mother is an indian citizen.planning to settle in india.am i eligible for the exam?can you pls help me to find out regarding this.i am in malaysia currently and i have wrote to nat board many times but no reply.

go to medical council of india site n see the full eligiblity requirements.......mate u need to search urself....life isnt spoon feeding...
Eligibility Criteria: No person shall be allowed to appear in the screening test unless:
he/she is a citizen of India and possesses any primary medical qualification, either whose name and the institution awarding it are included in the World Directory of Medical Schools, published by the World Health Organisation; or which is confirmed by the Indian Embassy concerned to be a recognised qualification for enrolment as medical practitioner in the country in which the institution awarding the said qualification is situated;
