Recently i heard that GMC is asking for valid UK address to apply for GMC full registration. some colleague of mine from Australia also called GMC & they told them they require a valid UK address.

although i didn't see anything about it in GMC website? did anyone notice anothing?

What does VALID UK address mean? If someone has relatives in UK, can they use their address to apply from that address?

I really have no idea, why GMC is asking this?
Does vaid UK address proves the quality of a doctors performance?
because lots of doctor who passed PLAB 2 & NHS was unable to give enough jobs for all of them, so they left UK & doing some post graduation or other job in other countries, So they don't live in UK now & don't have a so called VALID UK ADDRESS !!!

If GMC don't want to give registration to doctors who passed PLAB 2, they can tell it straight. why they are too FUZZY about it. they are applying one rules after another & humiliating the doctors. first the JOB OFFER RULE, then THE WORK PERMIT RULE, THEN PREFERENCE TO UK or EU GRADUATE RULE, NOW VALID UK ADDRESS RULE, WHATS NEXT ... FUNNY isn't it ... i am waiting to see more.

Hi Shuvro,
A valid UK address means (as per GMC telephonic conversation) any friend or family who lives in UK, the applicant may use the address. So this shouldn't be a problem for any one.
We all post plabbers are tired of these new rules.....but what to do???????

wat if one doesnot have any relative in uk and even if one has some relative they wont be that much concerned about our mails
surely gmc is degrading and making mockery of IMGs ti time after time.................................
