Hi!! im doing md derm, in 1st year, in st johns...edv stands for epidermodysplasia verriciformis....looks exactly like p.versicolov..but is caused by HSV...i dont think any effectieve treatment is there ( ?maybe retinoids)

ok,what disease does this biopsy finding reveal sandya --MILD ACANTHOSIS.ORTHOKERATOSIS WITH FOCAL FUSION OF RETE RIDGES THIS DISEASE RESPONDS WELL TO ISOTRETINOIN BUT RELAPSES R THERE ,,PLS REPLY

EDV is Epidermoplasia dysplasia verruciformis.... caused by Human papilloma virus and not HSV. very common in HIV individuals... very resistant to treatment ... loooks like p.versicolor right.
