same here ashb,
used only FA..
found it good enuf...
but have to say-- used my acting skills to good effect!!!
i guess u need to ACT as if you know everything infront of the SP's!!! even when the case is not goin anywhere (indians are born actors--so not to worry guys--cheers!!!)

i dont find FA good enough.....

practice....practice.....practice......

and there are certain wrong things in FA that u r not supposed to do in cs.....i dont remember those now....

OSCE is another book, highly recommnended NOT to be read...it totally misguides u....

just practice....practice.....and practice.......
even if u dont read and rather just practice with good experienced people around, u will pass it....

hi jedai , aside of acting did u need to look also alike someone such as Hrithik Roshan /Pierce Brosnon.........and do u suggest to act and look also like celebs icon_biggrin.gif icon_biggrin.gif ......................................
(I personally feel your presentation , your level of confidence , dress code must be significant too.)

i'm sorry you got me totally wrong siyaa-maam...
well you cant change your looks though!!! icon_cool.gif
but neither do you have to look like pierce brosnan nor like hrithik...
what i meant was--- not to let the SP's get a feeling that you are stuck up pretty badly in your case ( where as in reality you might be--just as i was)...
so my suggestion wrt acting was only ltd to that....i still apologise if at anytime i suggested that any1 can pass 2cs only with acting....
regards,

I agree, confidence is VERY important. You have to stay calm and cool as if that particular case is a routine for you and you know everything about it. Even if something goes wrong, don't panic, just chill.. At least i did that even when i had no clue of the case.. icon_biggrin.gif

I still think FA is more than enough. I just read through half of it and i found that enough. I think the symptomatology part and the Qs part is just a read through. I did not find it much useful in actual exam.

I completely agree that practice is the key. Practice as much as you. And if you can practice at least once with someone who's been exposed to the American health system or has already taken CS, that would be even better. But if you can practice well enough and be confident, any resource is good enough. These are merely to give you an idea and i personally think the shorter the book, the better.. icon_biggrin.gif

hey dude...you've got it bang on target...
just be sure to practice the examination of various systems on one of your family members or friends...& during the entire procezss see to it that you speak only & only in formal ENGLISH....Use draping & everything just like you'ld use in the step2cs exam....
I believe you dont need to practice each & every case in FA/uworld but at least make sure that you know how to examine each system in detail...(cvs,rs,cns,abdo)..
after all this you can mentally make a note of the things you need to do while readin thro the cases...
you are all set dude...
go ahead and crack the exam..
