at calicut medical college,2007 admission pgs have been asked to submit the details of the sureties and witnesses who signed their bond.details are already available with them in the bond itself .The bond was submitted 5 months back .Many of us even do not remember who were the witnesses...............now those who have not submitted the details again, have been informed that they will not be permitted to continue the course !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i had taken diploma in kerala thru all india. left it cos of the bond. i feel the bond is one of the worst in india. and they are such crooks that they did not even mention the bond status in kerala in AIPGE
counsellings while all the other states had clearly mentioned the status of bonds in their states. absolutely worst state of affairs in kerala. not at all friendly for people from other states. and the bond amount well exceeds 15 lakhs. its a joke. imagine lapsed seats were awarded to deserving candidates after the court intervened. but one thing i must say is about surgical exposure and u will get loads of it in kerala. but the demrits seem to out weigh the merits.

Does anybody know of the present situation with regard to Bond in Kerala colleges, esp in Kozhikode(Calicut), Thiruvananthapuram for PG courses? How many years, and the cost of breaking the Bond? Can somebody please clarify this? Is it different for State and out-of-state students? Urgent , as I am going to attend All India counselling
Thanks

Hi Jangoasha:
Check Clause XIII (2) (d) (ii)
" A Penalty of Rs. 10,00,000 from PG Diploma and PG Non Clinical Speciality candidates and Rs. 12,00,000 from PG Degree Clinical Speciality candidates as liquidative damages, in addition to the Stipend/ Salary drawn during the period of the course "
and above that they put 8% interest over it, my friend had called their office.
So totally it comes upto 16 lacks plus
