1. There r average job prospects here. if you are MBBS, there are more. if you are specialist, it is very difficult to work here.
2. Living standards and the pay is excellant as i am also indian.
3. To work here you need to clear AMC exam but it is hard and time consuming. it is expensive too. you need to clear IELTS (academic module- minimum of band 7) before application. More information is on the AMC website

4. However there is area of need jobs which requires NO exams, nothing. all you need is the proper experience (2years in most cases).

Hello idiopathy
if you will think of the exam, you wont come here even after that as aus govt has created the rule of giving the provider no to overseas doctor after 10 years of completing the exam. that means that you wont have acces to the medicare, which is the main govt agency for providing money to doctors. so the best ways are two in my opinion-
1. Either come through govt job like rural postings in some parts of Australia or
2. search for a job in the area of need. Bi

Dear Drbertuff,
It must be a hard time answering to so many queries. However there is yet one more query which has not been heeded in the above replies.
Iam mbbs graduate having secured a decent rank in the state entrance by which I could get orthopaedics here asa I am interseted in it.What I want to know is the opprtunities there for indian orthopaedics , do they accept us & if not which field has the geatest scope. Also what about mle scores, do they accept them as I am also giving it.I also heard there is demand for doctors in Newzealand based on work experience & mle scores. You have idea about this?Pls reply if its not too much of trouble to you.
