Hi Guys/ Gals
This is my first post. Just cleared my MRCS
Part 3 examinations a coupl of days back in the first attempt. I am basically an Orthopaedic surgeon so it was a real task to study for this exam as the course is basically General Surgery and orthopaedics
is a minute subset of it. It was 1 hell of an experience. Thought if anyone needs any FEEDBACK
I could try to be helpful. Trust me the biggest difficulty that I faced during my preparations was to get the right guidance. I sincerely dont want other guys to face the same problem so was wondering if I could contribute.
The best advice that I was given was from this forum. So i wish to continue the goodwork started my my seniors. Please let me know if there are any queries.

thanks Dr. for helping us as you have the experience in that Exam MRCS
which I'm interested in.
Anyway, I have some inquiries about it which I hope you will provide me with its answers.
1-I have seen two groups of books for MRCS
part 1 which were Basic Science for the MRCS
by Andrew T. Raftery and the other was MRCS
core modules essential revision notes by Sam Andrews. so what do u think about each of them as a source for studing part 1??????
2-what are the chances for me after completing the MRCS
especially in the Gulf
area as I have my relatives living there???????
3-How much will be the range of salary there?
thanks again for caring for your younger colleagues our dear.

thanks for replying for my inquiry. I see this salary is great, but you said that it's for the consultant. so do you know what is the average for a specialist with MRCS
and 3 years experience? and if available what about the Emarates salary for him?
let me thank you for your kind care my colleague.

MRCS
specialist salary in saudi arabia is more than 14000 sar.I do not know the exact salary in EMIRATES for the same post;it may be approximately 20,000 darham(1 drham=1.02 sar=10.50 Rs),but expenses in Emirates are very high,e.g. u may have to pay 90,000 darham for a 2 rooms flat in Dubai;if u drive ur car on SHEIKH ZYAD ROAD(the main road of dubai),traffic cameras wl cut 4 drhm each time as road tax.

of course it's a good salary after our hard 7 years in the college studying Medicine beside to the next years wasted in studying and practicing Surgery. thank you Dr.Nasim for your valuable comments. But Dear colleagues if someone know something about books of part 1 please don't hesitate to share us. I'm confused with the various sources like:
Basic Science for the MRCS
,
Applied Basic Science for Basic Surgical Training
Pastest essential revision notes for intercollegiate MRCS
Book 1 by Catherine Parchment
Core Module Revision Notes
