Quick Scroll FAQ: Documents needed for the Visa Interview 12.24.07 (7 months ago) #1

While searching for a list of documents needed for a visa interview for CS, somebody gave me this list. I'm posting it here as a starting point for all. The list might have been made by an Indian visa consultant and I apologize to others for that but the general idea remains the same. Please check carefully if you need any other document specific to you or any latest requirements from consulate website.

FINANCIAL DOCUMENTS: A Financial statement that mentions separately in the following categories (We are supposed to carry originals of these all even though Financial statement is usually the only thing that VI asks):
1. Movable assets:-
- Bank Balance Statement/Passbooks (6 months)
- FD/PF/LIC policies etc
- Shares and Bonds etc
- Any other liquid assets

2. Immovable assets:-
- Property documents with evaluation certificate from approved evaluator indicating current market value of the property.
- Agriculture Property (Again verified by some authority like i was told that it should be signed by patwari and counter stamped by tehsildar) Check with your CA

INCOME PROOF DOCUMENTS:
- IT return for the last 3 years
- Salary slip
- Business (Profit and Loss statement)
- Rent receipts (if any)
- Agriculture income (J forms)

This statement should be made by a CA, giving details of above, certifying the net worth of the immediate family, who are going to support you ie. Parents and/or brothers/sisters.

ACADEMIC DOCUMENTS (whichever applicable)
- Step 2 CS confirmation notice
- Visa letter from ECFMG
- Step 1 Score Report
- Step 2 CK Score Report
- MBBS degree
- MBBS Mark sheets
- Medical transcripts and/or Registration certificate
- Hotel accomodation confirmation (if any)
- Letter from current employer
- Certificates of any achievement during college.
