hi all... yeah me too desparately want an answer to that...
i recently saw manipal manual of surgery.. its a damn good book... and i think almost better than bailey...
if this book provides all the info which is asked in ug exams as well as pre pg why not read this? why's bailey so much recommended?

spariant where exactly did u hear that manipal manual is better than bailry...bailey is like bibe for surgery pot graduated and has t ..HAS TO ..be read thouroughly as that is the least tht the examiners expect from post graduate...the info in manipal manual is old, inadeaquate and unreliable as u cannot it to any of the examiners or in papers or dessertations..m not saying it is not a good book..just that its very much inadequate for pgs..now that i'm about to enter final yr i feel we need to be thorough with bailey and schartz and need to read monograms and books like maingott's,mc gregor,o'leary, bland n copeland ,nyhus,,etc selectively
