To read chinese documents in a phone, one needs to have chinese fonts installed in the same phone.
Sadly, I am not aware of any free softwares which offers chinese fonts for N72.
There are some methods in which it may be done, but it involves altering the System files of your phone,
So i don't recommend such methods as tampering the phone's system files is not at all advisable.

These kind of softwares rarely exist for Symbian Phones (N72)
So finding a free software for the same purpose is almost impossible i think.
But many free online services are available for the same purpose.
Open the browser of your mobile.
Go to Google's Online Translation service.
| Code: |
Copy the Chinese text and paste it in the box,
(To copy text in N72, use this key , Press down this key , select the text and click "Copy")
Select "Chinese to English" in the drop down menu and press "Translate"

測試效率的網上翻譯服務
繁體中文語言看起來太複雜
If accurately translated,
It should read
"Testing the efficiency of Online Translation Service
The Traditional Chinese language looks too complicated"

You need to find a Nokia care center to flash your device. In order to view Chinese characters, the font library should be in the phone. Of course, the Chinese version software should be flashed.
Or
U can copy the lib from another N72 which supports Ch.
Install FExplorer onto ur friends phone.
Use FExplorer to find the lib in the other phone,
Copy them using FExplorer into a new folder on MemoryCard.
Insert the MemoryCard into your phone.
Copy the contents of the new folder to the same location as in ur friends phone.
Now u GotIt.
