term eligible couples refers to newly married couples so how can sterilisation b the ans iucd is never done in nullipara it should b either ocps or nirodh i think it 2 be nirodh becoz it is more cost effective readily available

eligible couples refers to married couples where the wife is in the reproductive age. since concurrent sterilization is practised after the second child if the paitent desires, it is the most practised methord of contraception.

hi redash i know that 60 percent births are of the order 3 or more and therefore sterilisation should be practised to attain effective cpr but then why the table in the park shows no of condoms user more than sterilisation and the ques asks about most widely practised method waiting for your ans

i have the 16th edition of park and it clearly mentions in pg 330 that
the methord of contraception practised by eligible couples are as follows sterilizatio - 29.1%
IUCD-7.4%
condom-4.2%

i dont know if the data has chaged so drastically in one edition of park, but please let me know if u have one.
