a 26 yr old woman complain of pain in lower right quadrent.her menstrual history was unremarkable,physical reveils right lower quadrent tenderness with right adnexal tenderness,there is some right adnexal fullness,but no definate mass is felt.most important diagnostic conciderations is:

1. acute appendicitis
2.ruptured appendix
3.acute salpingitis
4.twisted ovarian cyst

The answer most likely is ovarian torsion,Although acute appendisitis is more common,diagnostical ovarian torsion has to be first ruled out in 26 yr old woman.

is OVARIAN TORSION THE SAME AS TWISTED OVARIAN CYST......
AND WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THE ANSWER IS OVARIAN TORSION AND NOT APPENDICITIS....
