Hai Friends please post your manipal NRI rank and also THE BRANCH U R INTRESTED IN so that we can have a mock councelling and have an idea what branch we may get. also inform any other second option if u dont get the branch u like.

i got 32 rank i am intrested in general medicine i am ready to take surgery as a second option. last year the last seat in medicine is 30th rank. this time god knows!!!!!

recently heard that 2nd ranker got 154marks in comedk and expecting in AIPGE .

Wondering whether to take DMRD / MD Medicine.
Dont know what is better.

Both are superb in manipal.
DMRD is very good option if u get for ur rank it is a very hot option now a days but as only one seat is there for nri category it will be finished by 4th or 5th rank generally. future prospects are also very good as interventional radiology is a upcoming branch. u can earn more and more money!!!!!!! but only disadvantage is that you will not have patient exposure like general medicine.

General Medicine is also very good in Manipal u will have good patient exposure but more risks than radiology.

Finally it depends on ur choice, if u like life with risks but earn name and fame take medicine, or if u like a cool and calm life with good pay take radiology.

dear friend
for ur rank it is difficult to get MD peadiatrics,
but u will get dch or MD dermat.
but none can tell exactly until counselling.
lets hope for the best

thanx alot but i believe dat seats av been reduced in nri category as compared to last yr is dat true ? n sumone told me md skin n dch got over by 35th rank .... hws ur rank?

yes , i also heard the same
it seems they had reduced the seats in nri quota from 30% to 20% this year for mci recognision.
it is for the same reason they increased the general quota fee to compensate for it.
i was informed by several pgs in manipal.
but none was sure
i called manipal and found out that only 20% are for nri.
56 out of total 289.
but some say that they change during counselling, especially second counselling
they shift some seats from general or in service quota to nri.
so dont loose heart and wait patiently till second counselling.

Hi there.....
well, i got the shock of my life when the all india results came out...im not in the list...not even in the waiting list.... i was a bit depressed for a while... coz some guys ive been beating every time in the Bhatia and other mock test (by a very wide margin!! ) havegot into the top 1000 ranks...and not just one or two...at least 30 of my juniors are there in the list. I dunno what went wrong...now waiting solemnly for all kerala and st.johns results to come out...both are coming out on the 22nd. I have done St.Johns well. Hoping 2qualify for in Gen.Surgery there...if not...
ill take M.S. Gen. surgery at KMC Mangalore...

By the way...there is one seat in MD RD and one in DM RD(diploma) if i recall correctly.. the 10th rank MAY fetch u the MD seat itself...but it will surely get u the diploma
also...follow this general rule..all medical specialities..are better at KMC Manipal; and all surgical specialities are better at KMC Mangalore

dont worry, some things happen.
40% of result is purely based on luck, see manipal results for example!
hope u get good rank in kerela cet
what about comedk what is ur score???
