Guess this basically means that a higher ranked reserved category candidate can get a seat for himself and also reserve a seat for someone wit the sane category....thereby takin one seat off from the open quota....in times of 50% reservation this is really harsh on us open candidates....in fact last year amongst top 150.. 6 candidates have done this...this year too lookin at the merit list the chances of it happenin are really high...friends cant we do anythin to stop this.....infact the honorable supreme court in its recent january judgement has mentioned " the right to equality is non negotiable "....lets unite and fight against this.....

allocation of seats should be entirely based on merit... this should not be negotiable at all.. support for financially weak students is the need of the hour... scholarships for deserving students is whats needed...
everybody belonging to every category gets equal opportunity to perform, as is evident from this year's PGMCET merit list... quite a few no. of toppers belong to some category or the other... then why do they need this added, undue advantage of reservation...
i am entirely against reservation... and i know, theres no point reiterating this again and again... 27% obc reservation is still pending... lets hope something positive comes out of this as well..
hemil, consider me in....
