hi to all u there can any plzz telll that 1 can get locum if he has gmc registeration but donot hav work permit or hsmp ?

i mean can u get locum on visit visa if u hav gmc registeration

well lets see, coupled with the home-office regulations with regards getting a job with either a work -permit or hsmp, recent ban of imgs from training posts, coupled with high -level competition from em e.u doctors, God help us if another factor isnt added soon. Chances are my dear friend,if you are not bound within laws of limitation, you'll need a miracle from GOD and 21 lives to see that happen .
There is just too much competition out there even for imgs with hsmp.If i were you,it might sound odd but just go back home and get that hsmp thing or is it tier 1 now and come back to the u.k. via the front door laughing

on visit visa, u cannot work if u read that stamp on your passport,it states on that.

if u apply through locum agency they may help u in this getting your visa sorted.

it sounds too harsh when some one says its difficult but actually fact is that it is really difficult
if u r on PLAB exam visit visa chances are 10% otherwise none litrellay none
u have one another option
if u can wait uptill may june as there will b some fp08 jobs advertised may b ur luck favours u and u get a fp08 in that case u dont need any thing and trust will get a work permit on ur behalf
look at ur visa stamp as said by maria if it says visit only than u cant work

hey mobolaji, how easy is it to get the new hsmp if you dont mind me asking what kind of visa are you on. Have you been successful in getting a job placement.

WELL , THE NEW HSMP OR TIER 1 IS VIRTUALLY THE SAME THING LIKE THE PREVIOUS ONE EXCEPT THAT THE MBA PROVISION THAT ALLOWED ONE TO TO HAVE 50 STRAIGHT POINTS HAS BEEN SCRAPPED
IM ON ONE MYSELF AND JUST GOT REGISTERED BY THE GMC JUST A FEW DAYS AGO
WITH GOD'S HELP ,PUTTING MY C.V. IN DIFFERENT PLACES .EVEREYBODY HAS COME FAR AND ITS TOO LATE TO TURN BACK COS OF THAT.BUT IF THERE AINT FPs IN JUNE OR AN AGENCY TO APPLY FOR A PERMIT FOR AN IMG .MEN LOOK AT THE E.U INFLUX, JUST GET HOME AND GET IT SORTED COS I WENT BACK MYSELF AFTER I WAS ON A STUDENT VISA FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS

i just wana 1 more thing that i know many senior doctors coming to uk just to do locums & they definitly dont have work permit as they r not any perment job so how come they manage to do so & i also also heard that many doc hav got their registeration on basis of locum <when job were need to get ur self Register with gmc> & at that time they were just on PLAB visit visa .i will be very thankful if u will answer my concers
actually i am asking all this bc dont wana waste my money on registeration if is good for nothing .
