Quick Scroll OPHTHAL or Anaesthesia or PATHO ? 02.25.08 (6 months ago) #1

hey my friend got a rank in AIPGMEE he is confused. plz help
i have suggested him to take Anaesthesia coz
ophthal needs really a big set up, very very costly gadgets that needs repairing frequently adding to huge expenditure.

n even after ur pg u know hardly abot new surgeries which r a must nowadays. so u need training for it in private hospitals which demand a hefty money starting near 12 LAKHS

Anaesthesia . this subject in coming yrs will even replace the charm of medicine as MCI HAS MADE CRITICAL CARE essential element of curriculum of Anaesthesia . SO ALL ICCU n ICU will now be controlled by us(anaesthesiologists)

EVEN PATHO FROM A GOOD INSTITUTE IS FAR BETTER THAN OPHTHAL. as in patho there is heavy earning; and if u join some private hospital then there is no looking back.

oh mutation its not only about signing reports!

See benefits of patho--

1. before any surgery pathologists have to b consulted bout blood, urine, enzymes, serum electrolytes....n so on

2. histopatho has a bright future as cancers have become common

3. then in medicine side-- various examinations as malaria slide, TLC DLC ..n on n on

4. i.e doctors of any field needs u- be it surgeon, orthopedician, paediatrician, ophthalmologist, dentist, Obs -Gynae , .........

5. see charges of pathologist-very high.

so dont wonder if the RICHEST DOCTORS ARE PATHOLOGISTS in ur town.

well anaida ANAESTHESIA> PATHOLOGY > OPTHA
