Quick Scroll MOCK OSCE TEST FOR DNB PAED FINAL 02.25.08 (4 months ago) #1

Mock OSCE ExaminationS(pediatrics) ARE conducted in several DNB Teaching institutes ,where DNB Final candidates(from other institutes also) can appear and this helps in their preparation for Final DNB Exam.

What are the places where this Mock Examinations will be conducted over next few months?

Even I am interested in OSCE conducted in bangalore but i feel its better if it starts after theory exam results come out. How much interval is there between theory results and practical exams, usually?

On an average 4 weeks time is there between theory and primary....(actually it is 3 weeks-because 1 week is spent in Hangover from Theory result and railway reservation for the practical exam)

Quick Scroll DNB Pediatrics Theory 02.28.08 (4 months ago) #5

For preparing Pediatrics theory examination one has to prepare from early days of DNB training. It is always better to prepare own notes for different topics (initially for common topics but later for uncommon topics also). These notes becomes very much effective when there are few weeks/days left before examination, because everyone becomes puzzled about what to read and from where to read.
Candidates preparation should be in such a manner that he/she can write something to the points even for rare questions so that he/she can score at least 50% marks for these questions.
Mock Theory Examination before DNB Final Theory is of great value.

For theory examination u will have to follow different books for different topics.
It is difficult to write answers based on nelsons textbook only...
RECENT ADVANCES IN PEDIATRICS (Edited by S GUPTA)can be followed because the topics are written there based on different books, journals and they are updated also(specially RAPs published in last 3 years).... they are also written in simple languages.
INDIAN JOURNAL OF PEDIATRICS is also good.... specially topics covered under Different Symphosiums.
