Quick Scroll Is BLS course necessary to take ILS course??? 03.06.08 (2 months ago) #1

hiya Docs,
Just got my GMC registartion.
I shall be applying for some F2 jobs asap.
well, I heard it would be very helpful if I would complete ILS/ALS and ALERT courses. Would also make my CV stronger.
I did chk different hospitals providing ALS courses. Ealing hospi told me that BLS course is a must pre-requisite for ALS course. I should hand them the certi of BLS course first in order to take ALS .
Can't I just take the ALS course, afterall we've completed BLS as we've passed the PLAB exams.
Give me your views guys.
Also, It is quintessential to take ALS to secure F2 jobs ??

Please give me your views.

cheers.

For ALS they ask for BLS certificate but not for ATLS... ye can do BLS course for 40 pounds in st barts.... contact them...

ALS/ATLS are useful for f2/ST1/ST2 posts in medicine and surgery respectively..( added advantage)
