No, I'm not sure. Now on the second thought I think the answer is 5 ( it occurs in 5-10 % of pts with schizophrenia ). The lifelong rate of suicide is higher in depression: in the order of 25-30 percent. Again, I need to double-check it.

I agree with you on depresion(about 15-20% in MDD,around 25% in BAD).I also think that schizos have higher rates of autolysis(about 15%).

None of the above for the stem per se. Let's see:
1.Suicide comes second, after trauma.
2.Attempts are way much higher than completions. But the ratio 4:1 for attempts seems familiar in women;so here might be the mistake....
3.Au contraire...The suicidal patient often talks and thinks about death,has"death wishes","wants out",visits people or calls good-bye, changes wills or sorts out affaires,etc....
4.& 5.Don't agree percentages....What do you say?
