Hi,
From your description i can make out that your opera browser crashed,
you have un installed your browser already,
and you are getting some error message while trying to install it again.
To reach a conclusion i need some more points,

Please answer these,
icon_arrow.gif Please explain how did the browser crash.
icon_arrow.gif Did you install any programs or Visit any 'dangerous(crack/torrent/like wise)' website recently?
icon_arrow.gif What is your operating System? If its Win XP have you installed the latest updates? (i.e SP2)
icon_arrow.gif Is your Anti-Virus up to date?
icon_arrow.gif Do you regularly scan your pc for spywares?
icon_arrow.gif Were there any strange behaviour from your pc. i mean automatic launch of the browser or pc/program crashes?
icon_arrow.gif What about the other browsers? (internet explorer, firefox) Are they working normally?

Another thing i want you to do is that Download this software,
Only RxPG members can see links here! Register or Sign In!

(It is a program named "Hijack This" used to analyse the programs running in your pc)
Install it in your pc, Run it,
Click on "Do a system scan and save a log file"
After scan a note pad file will open like this,

Copy all the text from that note pad file and paste in in your reply.
And close that program.

I didn't find any suspicious processes running in your PC.
So its unlikely to be a virus infection.

Do one thing, Run firefox, Set it as your default browser.
(Open Firefox, go to tools, then options, then main and set)

Download a fresh installation file of opera and keep in in your desktop.

Then reboot the pc in the safe mode. (write these down in a paper)
* If the computer is running, shut down Windows, and then turn off the power
* Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the computer on.
* Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
* Ensure that the Safe mode option is selected.
* Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.

Then delete the Opera directory in safe mode.
Install opera in Safe mode.

Reboot your pc.

Good to know that everything has been fixed.
However its unlikely that the firewall caused all these.
I think it was due to some faulty opera plugins.
When we uninstall a file, it may not be fully removed until a reboot.
As the error message says

dr_tomchi wrote:

There was some active plugin of the old opera, still running when you tried to re-install.

Happy to know that you have opted for firefox.
Its the best one around!
