Most of my friends have applied for tutions [read - extra help] to clear final MBBS subjects, also to help them further for PG.
But are they really worth it is the gr8 question....... with any reputed prof. asking for around 25 to 45 k ..... GOD icon_eek.gif

now i am hearing this for the first time. ( may be itz not popular here in small town)
but i dont think that tuitions are really helpful. i was a average student (read one who failed in tests and sessionals etc) but in the end i went to my seniors and they marked the imp topics and told me the favourite questions of some prof. in viva.
during viva time Pgs helped me a lot and i passed the exams.
and regarding pg entrance i must tell you that if u are not topper or something than beleive me that prep. for final year and pg entrance are totally diffrent.
but if u hace some half a lakh rupees lying idle, than u can surely move on after all tuitions ar not goinmg to harm u anyway.

wishing u luck
regards.

I am certainly not hearing it for the first time. Some of my friends opted for surgery tutions. This is example of extreme commercialization of education.
This is usually done in 2 cases -
1. In some govt medical colgs there is extreme shortage of professors and some students set up a reputed professor to help them.

2. The worst case - in private medical colgs mostly - professors have full control of who passes and who does not. And they setup to earn a handsome extra- money.

In any case its not good. We should strongly discourage this practice.

AIPGE is a different thing altogether. We all now know that III final was piece of cake when compared to AIPGE .

Don't get in to habit of tutions, they can become addictioni!!

its really encouraging that no one agrees to d system of tutions, if atleast for final MBBS.
many of my seniors are even opting for NO - TUTION policy for their AIPGE and MH-PGCET.....that's somethin icon_exclaim.gif icon_lol.gif
