hi frnds .................i am completly unaware of AFMC ....................is there any pg seats in AFMC .................................
i am frm defence background........and want to join in defence forces as a specialist and not as a general practionors

so plz guys do tell me is there any seats for clinical pg........................and if there then how many...........and whe the exams genrally held................

i m now in third year and will really think over it, if u will advice me.i am new at site......plz help me frnds....................

hey geno, from yr post it seems that u r doing yr mbbs from the university other than AFMC so u will be a civilian doctor after passing mbbs.
so if u want to join armed forces as a specialist in a clinical branch then dont think of doing it from AFMC as in AFMC 1st preference is for the doctors serving the indian army then x servicemen and after that the civilian doctors so if u r the toper in civilians then also u will only get a non-clinical branch.
in such case u have 2 options.. 1) do pg in branches like Anaesthesia , surgery, og, medicine etc. and then apply for ssc. . 2) join ssc as a medical officer and u will get chance of doing pg after 2 years of service from AFMC and this time u will be in the list of 1st category..
so all the best..

i should prefer your 1st option.....as there will be always safe side because by unluck if i could not break AFMC even though i will be a specialist in civil......
