Rankers of AIPG from OBC may have a significant boost in their rankings, if the quota is implemented from this year onwards....
For example, if your OBC Rank is 27 and your General Rank is 1500, instead of walking into the counselling at turn 1289, you can walk in at Turn 100
So, if you are a OBC and if you have scored a good rank, implementing OBC reservation from this year means you will get a better seat (compare Turn 1289 and Turn 100) if this law is implemeted from this year (there are no reasons why DGHS should act against the Supreme Court Judgement)
If you are a OBC, and is in waiting list / just could not make it into the waiting list, then, you will get a good seat
It is for you to decide and act !!!

And also for All India
It will come automatically for AIPG 2009.
If the rankers of AIPG 2008 go to court then may be they can get benefit Now itself

Economically backward means those whose parents earn LESS THAN.. not more than
And then
As you have rightly told, only the children of Government Staff and Employees of Private Firm will come to general quota. Businessmen will still remain in OBC and then this exclusion of creamy layer will affect the Forward Castes very much

der was no column asking for obc status in the AIPGE
exam form...so how are they going to collect this specific info now and complete the 2nd round according to the dates set by the supreme court? also there was no mention anywhere in the allotment letter dat allotment status is subject to change according to the verdict 2 be passed in a particular case in supreme court..ppl who gave all india last yr must be aware of such a sentence in last years prospectus regarding sc/st reservations..so i dont think anything can be done for 2008 counselling...it may get implemented from nxt yr..
if im not mistaken such a clause was mentioned during iim admissions and students were not admitted in the seats which were to be reserved for obc candidates...
if anyone has any info regarding how iit's and iim's had handled admissions vis a vis obc candidates plz do post it here...
