Hey guys,

good to be back after a long time in the techzone.

so just a quick question...

What would your dream PC be like?
do you dream about a custom-painted steel box with water sloshing around inside and three 32" monitors jerry-rigged together?
or would you rather have a portable machine with 20" WUXGA multitouch display?

Dont worry if the technology required has not been invented yet... thats why its a dream

No more dream pc's for me.

I am predicting that in future(3008), operating systems will directly be installed into the brain.

i can say that currently im into 790i based board

so here is current dream pc config

a gud 790i board

8gb of ddr3 1066mhz ram

nice quad core penryn may be qx9775

dual nvidia [snip] gx2 to get crysis @2650x1600 16x aa

of course 30inch xHD display probably dell cost 90k i think

hardisk the tough part

8 x 32 gb ssd on a raid 0 or 6 using pcie raid card

sound any card supporting hd sounds (dtshd dolbyhd etc)

receiver with full hd capabilities

gud 7.1 speakers package onkyo may be

mpeg2 tv tuner

vista ultimate 64bit (u need 64 bit to run in 8gb of ram)

bluray writer ( otherwise why i wud need hd capable things)

normal keyboard and a gud mouse ( even multimedia keybord is useless according to me)

1tb back up drive

of course 1200w psu with good cabinet

mostly fanless design preferred

5mbps connection (this is the only thing i wont get)

wow that rig is gonna be blazing fast..

but fanless design for this rig!! u'll need some custom cooling solution (maybe liq nitrogen based) ... that gx2 quad SLI is gonna be smoking hot

soundcard... maybe X-fi xtreme gamer... but i'm not a big fan of creative after their latest fiasco with drivers
i heard asus is coming out with a high end one

do you think 1200w is gonna be enough for that beast? i'm not sure of gx2 power draw.. oh well..

as for net... i've got a 8mbps line and i still think its way less... atleast compared to lucky koreans who get 100mbps lines at home

but why install another OS when we've already got one.... and a fantastic one at that..
