Green peace or global Warming... what we can do ?

As you know Global warming is a serious issue but do we really care.. do we know anything about the seriousness of the matter..
come on so many people are publishing papers and getting awards for things related to global warming something must be true.. who knows..

Are we doing anything to stop it or atleast reduce it.. anyways all of contributing to global warming and i think we should something against it also.

Most of us think global warming what i can do ? its for big nations and stuff.. big nations are made of people like you and me.. yeah though Most national governments have signed and ratified the Kyoto Protocol aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions but thats left to them..

What can we do thats the thing..Yes we can do.. here is the list of somethings we can do...

1) Use Compact Fluorescent Bulbs

2) Inflate Your Tires

3) Change Your Air Filter

4) Use Recycled Paper

5) Take Shorter Showers or Baths

6) Install a Low-Flow Showerhead ( Remember seinfeld )

7) Buy Products Locally nearby stores

8) Walk whenever possible (good for people like me who r overweight )

9) Buy Minimally Packaged Goods

10) Buy a Fuel Efficient Car

11) Don't Idle in Your Car or Bike

12) Reduce Garbage ( source reduction best solution )

13) Plant a Tree

14) Unplug Un-Used Electronics

15) Bring Cloth Bags to the Market

16) Turn off Your Computer (ie when not in use )

17) Be a Meat Reducer or vegetarian if possible

18) Avoid Plastic

19) Switch off lights even if you going out of the room for 2min

lets try doing so...i hope atleast few of us will read this and do so..no contribution is small..

have a great day..lets preserve whats left.. its said that earth even after so much damage is in a shape that it still can be revived .. next few years determines what the future will be for us.. whats the use of various degress if there is no nature on our side..

Think about it please

Take care

hi guys

i am really suprised by interest in this topic.. never expected such a response.. i am really happy about this..that atleast some change we can expect for the future.. way to go guys.. proud of you..

@ Govind
as long as you have a UPS you can very well switch off the plug to pc..as far as i know the ups gets charged when the pc is being used (ie when there is power) and it need not be separately.. its based on my experience on pc not the tech aspect of it..
maybe someone else can guide us both better..
i have a ups.. i switch off and unplug .. next time i want to use i plug it back again..
hopefully you not confused more..
