SUPREEME COURT HAS GIVEN STAY ORDER ON B.C E RESERVATION ON 15-9-07.this has not imPlemented in recent D.S.C councillng and recent job recrutements in A.P.But N.T.R.U.H.S is implementing B.C-E IN P.G councilling. PLEASE GET MORE INFORMATION ON THESE FROM KNOWN LAWYERS. SO THAT WE CAN FIGHT FOR THIS IN COUNCILLING.5 POINTS HAS GIVEN FOR B.C-E FROM O.C. HC trashes 5% reservation for Muslims

Hyderabad, November 7: Andhra Pradesh High Court today quashed a state government ordinance providing for five per cent reservation to Muslims in government jobs and educational institutions.
The verdict was pronounced by a five-member bench of the high court headed by Chief Justice Bilal Nazki.
The court disapproved of the reservation policy on the basis of religion.
It also found fault with the procedure adopted by the State Backward Classes Commission whose report had formed the basis for the government to decide on 5 per cent reservation for Muslims keeping in view their social and economic status.
Several BC organisations and students had moved the high court, challenging the reservation policy. The petitioners had contended that with the Muslim quota, the total reservations in the state had exceeded 50 per cent.
The state cabinet had, in May this year, approved a report of the Backward Classes Commission which had recommended inclusion of Muslims in the list of backward classes by creating a separate category and providing five per cent reservation in jobs and educational institutions.
An ordinance was issued in June categorising Muslims, who constitute 9.2 per cent of the state's total population of 7.5 crore, as BC `E' group for the purpose of reservations. The creamy layer among Muslims, with an annual income above 2.5 lakh, were excluded from the purview of reservations.
With this, the total percentage of reservations in the state had gone up to 51, exceeding the 50 per cent ceiling suggested by Supreme Court.
The Reservation Bill was adopted by the state assembly on October 5 during the Monsoon session

the HIGH COURT has squashed the bc-e reservation today

NOW NEARLY 34 SEATS IN TOTAL AND 18 CLINICAL SEATS R GOING TO GO TO OPEN CATEGORY

I HEARD THAT IN COUSELLING BC-E candidates were given seats but neither their certificates nor their fees was taken

ALL in all i feel sad for BC-E aspirants becoz snatching away once alloted seat will cause so much of depression among them

but ONE THING FOR SURE the muslim community is highly respected and many hold gud positions in society and they in no way need reservation,
THEY ARE TALENTED AND CAN GET THROUGH MERIT..

many of the bc resevation people are highly talented and have got gud seats in open too in this year

many of them come from well to do families too so y give them(creamy layer) resrvation i dont understand

give anyday resrvation to the poor among the bc's thats what even i want to say

hi friendbasha,

if u see today's newspaper they had given that the AP state govt has hired one of the most reputed lawyers in the country to fight for re-allotment of seats to muslims especially medicine post-graduate courses ,strong political move by congress govt itseems that's what the paper mentions.

well me being OC'S as far as i can say is that it wud be better if a person from a poorer section of BC community to fight becoz it is his future at stake,he should realize that the seats r given to their counterparts who r well to do. i.e. the creamy layer,i guess the poorer section of BC's may not even hv internet access for them to realize what we r talking abt.

so the best thing wud be to tell them their rights when we come across them incase.
