Hi,
One of my friends also had the same problem....got a medicine seat in AIPGE and in MH too but the AIPGE seat was better than the MH seat...so he preffered taking the AIPGE seat leaving out the MH seat...but then he is at loss now since now he wont be able to attend further rounds of MH...All because of DMER's faults...There must be a huge number of people with similar problems who had to decide between the two and give up one of the seats...Dont you think DMER should let these people reclaim seats in second round or conduct a recounselling so that they too benefit for their hard work???

if a candidate takes a seat through all india second round, then he is no longer eligible for Maharashtra second round unless he surrenders his all india seat that too before a stipulated date which was around 20th may last year in Maharashtra counselling..and this rule holds true in majority of states as the second round is full and final round in most states and which is also in accordance with the new time table given by supreme court..this makes sure that no seat is lapsed and almost all the seats are taken up....if the all india candidate leaves his aipg seat after the second round of his state counselling where he got a better seat, then his aipg seat will never be filled as there wont be any further rounds of all india or state counsellings...hence this rule of having to choose between the two counsellings...in fact in states like delhi, one is not allowed to attend even the first round of counselling if he has taken a seat anywhere else through all india quota..so in that sense Maharashtra is better as it allows the aipg candidates to attend its first round.so its high time that one chooses whether he wants to attend all india second round or Maharashtra second round.

if u get choice not available then only u hv chance to attend 2nd round of state...for that too u need all original documents..so u need to resign ur AIPGE seat before u attend state councilling...for those who got the seat whatever it may be u need to join that seat from state or else u ll not be eligible for state 2nd round...
and for those people who think that all india candidate who hv taken seat through AIPGE should be allowed to attend 2nd round of state,,then there should be again recouncilling for AIPGE as people loke me have alredy surrendered their AIPGE seat for state seat.

Nope he didnt make a mistake in filling the form...you didnt understand what i wanted to tell you guys...he could have made an improvement in second round of MH but now he has lost that chance because the nonrecognised seats werent included in first round...if he had given up his AIPGE seat then he would have been in loss... since he cant be sure were he would get an improvement in second round of MH...and atleast he is kind enough to think and leave one seat and NOT BLOCK SEATS EVERYWHERE!!!
Yes guys there are people who have blocked seats in both MH and AIPGE ...because they arent sure which one to pick...this is the reason of low turnout of seats in AIPGE second round...
