I have just finished my final MBBS . and i am in serious doubt as to when to start the preparation for APPG exam.my internship lasts from July08 to July09, and hence i will be writing APPG i 2010. I wish to to know when to start my preparation, and also the books i should prepare for the exam. my seniors say that we have to finish Harrison's medicine to get a seat in APPG. is that true?

start rt nw esp if u r an oc , be thorough wit all india AIIMS books , cos it will gv knwldge about all the things, then all subjects , i wud tell u not to waste time in harrysons, go 4 amit asheesh for both surgery n medicine ,be perfect wit spm n 2nd year subjects cos its not much where as med is an ocean , all the besat

Just have a quick look through Basic subjects without minding what is being retained in your brain .May be the study can be based on / oriented along with Mcq lines . You will have a better concept of many subjects . Always remeber that you have to be very fast. If you start with last 8 subjects you will be reading those subjects only throughout your preparation
