A 40 year old farmer complains of vague ill health; loss of weight and sweats during sleep. The patient has symptoms of persistnent cough, which has not been bad enough to preclude work. The cough is sometimes associated with hemoptysis for the past one month and he also complains of generalised body weakness.

On examination: He is pale. and wasted. The clavicle and the ribs are prominent. BP 110/70mmgHg

Q1. Give 2 questions which will help you come to a diagnosis
Q2. Which two diagnoses do you entertain.
Q3. List for investigations with reasons which will help you come to a diagnosis.
Q4. What is your tentative diagnosis/
Q5. How will you manage this patient.
Q6. Name one side effect of the drug you will give
Q7. How long do you intend to treat the patient.

During the course of treatment the patient develops Stevens-Johnson syndrome. What is the underlying disease in this hypersensitivity?
