Sub: Extended 2nd
round of PG Counselling-2008 for allotment of MD/ MS/ Diploma
(Medical) and MDS seats under 50% All India Quota-2008.

In compliance to the Hon’ble Supreme Court Order dated 2nd
May, 2008 passed in I.A.
No.17 in Writ Petition No. 157/2005 (Amit Gupta & Ors Vs Union of India & Anr), there will
be an Extended 2nd
round of Post Graduate Counselling-2008 from 24th
May, 2008 to 30th

May, 2008 at CHEB Building, Kotla Road (Opposite Mata Sundari College for Women), New
Delhi – 110 002.

All students who are eligible to participate in the second round of All India PG
Counseling 2008 can participate in the extended 2nd
round of counseling 2008. The schedule
for extended 2nd
round of PG counseling under 50% All India Quota-2008 to be held from
24th
May to 30th

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES TO ATTEND EXTENDED 2ND
ROUND OF 50% ALL INDIA PG (MEDICAL/DENTAL) COUNSELLING-2008

1. Counseling will be held as per Category Rank (UR/SC/ST) only.

2. The candidates already taken admission in PG Medical/Dental seats as per seat/college
opted during 2nd
round of counseling under 50% All India Quota 2008 and desirous of taking
part in extended 2nd
round of counseling must bring the admission slip and admission fee
receipts as proof of admission to the earlier college along with photocopy of Admit Card &
Rank letter duly attested by a Gazetted officer.

3. The candidate who have been allotted seat in the 2nd
round of counseling and have
joined the allotted college may apply for reallocation in extended 2nd
round of counseling for
reallocation, if interested. They should send their application for reallocation along with
prescribed undertaking Performa duly forwarded by the Principal/Dean of the allotted
college on e-mail id of

or by fax before 18th
May, 2008. Any application
received late i.e. after 18.05.2008, shall not be considered for re-allotment. The Dte.GHS
shall not be responsible for the late receipt of the candidates.

4. The candidate who were present in the 2nd
round of counseling at their rank but they
did not have the required original certificates as mentioned in the Prospectus-2008 will also
be eligible for extended 2nd
round of counseling 2008. The such candidates should bring the
following documents in original along with an attested copy of the documents at Sl. No. III to
VII :
I.Admit Card
II.Rank Letter issued by AIIMS
III.MBBS/BDS Degree/(provisional MBBS/BDS certificate signed by the Head of
Institution/College).
IV.Mark Sheet of MBBS/BDS (1
st
, 2nd
and 3rd
professional exams)
V.Internship completion Certificate/Certificate from the Head of the
Institution/College that the candidate has completed the Internship on 31
st
March
2008.
VI. Valid permanent/provisional registration certificate issued by MCI/DCI/State of
Medical/Dental council.
VII.High School/Higher Secondary certificate in proof of Date of Birth.

5. The candidate who did not report in the 2nd
round of counseling and marked as absent
at their rank will not be eligible for extended 2nd
round of counseling.

6. The candidate who has attended the 2nd
round counseling and rejected the seat will
not be eligible for extended 2nd
round of counseling 2008.

7. The candidate who was allotted the seat/college during the 2nd
round of counseling but
did not report/resigned/surrendered etc. will not be eligible for extended 2nd
round of
counseling 2008.

That is only student who attended 2 couns , opted a seat and took admission are eligible.
this leaves most of the rankers out .

ministry is making a mokery of the SC judgement !

OMG!!! that means who have RETAINED the seats are not eligible alltogether???

Please clarify someone!!!!

yup , anyone who attended 2 counselling and retained his old seat is not eligible !
this is clear from the order.

hey guys... rejected n retained are one and the same acc to me.... since at the counsellin those all who had retained the seat.. on screen it used to cum that so n so candidate has rejected the seats which were made vacant by the ppl above him... although i had changed the college.. pls all those who hav retained thier seat pls call up tom at dghs and confirm... coz this is clearly injustice to them..

well , this is complete disregard for SC order which clearly mentions that all persons eligible for second counselling will be eligible.
no such conditions has been mentioned in the orders.

guys i had cald up t dghs yrs... she says those who retained t seats in 2nd round r not eligible.. sankit s rite.. they r makin a mockery of t SC order//they shud b dragged 2 court 4 doin tis,,..
