New Rule: BOND – Maharashtra P.G. Rs. 15 Lakhs.

Dr. W.B. Tayde, Director DMER told Times of India (Dated: 14-05-08) as follows:

1. Bond for Post Graduate Medical Students from this year is Rs. 15 Lakhs (Rs. Fifteen Lakhs) or serve one year rural (village) service.

2. Local collector will be appointed to recover the amount of Rs. 15 Lakhs from the Doctors.

3. Super specialty courses will have to serve a two (2) year rural (village) bond or a penalty of Rs. 25 Lakhs (Rs. Twenty five Lakhs).

4. Rules have been made more stringent as “Medical Officership” is necessary due to outbreak of diseases in villages.

Hence, be better informed before taking Maharashtra P.G. Admission.

Above rules are applicable, whether you take admission in Maharashtra , through All India (AIPGE ) or DMER.

THE MOST IMPORTANT & UNDERLYING FACT IS THIS:

(1) A local collector will be appointed to charge the bond amount.

This is a new point. As uptill now, nobody was serious about the
bond for P.G. courses , as practically Mah. Govt. has never penalised
anybody with Rs.15 Lakhs.

To the best of my knowledge, doctors never took seriousely the
P.G. Bond amount.

(2) Also, For SUPER SPECIALITY the BOND amount is Rs. 25 Lakhs
or Three years of Bond. Any outsider, who intends to take admission
in P.G. Courses in Maharashtra and pursue superspeciality in Mah.
need to be more cautious and aware about this bond amount, as well
as our life's precious three years after superspeciality should be spent
in villages as bond.

(3) Again a local collector will be appointed for collection of Superspeciality BOND
AMOUNT.
