Is CMDT necessary to read for any entrance exam like AIIMS . i have read davidson in my final year. some people say harrison is important. how can i compensate this deficite. thanq.

buddies i know there are better to explain that than me but i can tell u what i did...i was a detained batch student so got lot of time to have fun n study i had spoiled whole of my final yr thena after that i made a plan in internship then i followed subjectwise books as follows ( i cudn't study paperwise that din satisfy me):

i made corrections in the guides all the way and repeatedly did them

1-short subjects only frm saumay shukla-rad,orthopaedics (even din do maheshwari),skin,psy,anat(my anat was very weak),biochem,physio,ophtha(i read khurana well)--i feel short subj are the most scoring of all

2-Gynae Obs -there's a book by sakshi arora very good one though bulky

3-medicine-did some units of harrsn in 3rd proff-that din help at all-in intern only did it frm MK medicine

4-surgery only frm AA

5-i did deepak mishra guides-though they are really badly written except fr the paedia one-even if one does spm frm that hardly any ques is left-pharma -i did kdt in 2nd but had many prob with this subj in intern-did it frm DM then to sum up,patho-robbins few chapters and wrote evrything special in my deepak mishra guide.

6-rachna chaurasia-microbio and tumour-very very well written books

all with back ques-i did AAA only for ENT and nothing else

i did all that by december after which i frst time picked up MK and AA and then did them fastly all 5 volumes and marked only those things which i din know or i had confusion in.did that jus till aipg with two revisions of the confusing questions only then since i got rank in state(4th) i din study therafter jus before AIIMS 15 days i jus did the ques i marked in MK and aa that's all. fr AIIMS i fell the exam needs u to be in very cool mind and apply ur own logic as the question is well framed.well that simple strategy clicked fr me in AIIMS n BHU9(13th) and state exam.it's differnt fr difrnt people so decide the best strategy what can help u to the fullest and frm all india i had learnt if u panic in exam u have lost half the battle so keep cool.this was my frst attempt and fr coachings and else i din do any and din give any mock tests so can't comment on them.best of luck to all rxpgians, i have found some of the best peoples here so i owe it alot.

hi psycho in my opinion fr AIIMS nov one shud finish evrything at most by october but i wont recmnd going too fast see buddy getting a meaningful rank in AIIMS also requires a good luck so as far as i think one shud not totally prepare accrdng to AIIMS , still jus by october if u complete evrything u'l have a good time to revise common 10-14 yrs ques twice jus before exams jus keep on focussing on the ques u have already prepared and do them again n again untill u get more than 90% of all 5 mk and AA ques on ur tip that much amount will help u in any exam.after oct jus do things again n again .AIIMS nov is a bit diffrnt jus try to think evenly during the exam the ques and options are framed so that u may even get the answer knowing jus lil about a topic,kavish can advice better there coz he has made it in both.
