Is Schwartz really necessary for surgery prep for AIPGE ..?I found too many questions referenced to this book . I had thought B& L was enough.. Do v need to read this book.. Can anybody pls tell me ?

Hi elisha, U don't need to read to read schwartz......and I wd suggest don't waste ur time on this.....L & B is good..... and for latest things u can refer CSDT.....it's a small book easy to remember.....& sm topics r just too good in CSDT ,...... specially GIT & paediatric surgery.... try it........ regarding schwartz & maingot..... just the reference text given in mcq books wd suffice........

i don think we need to reead schwartz...had read 8 th edition last time around...but very difficult to retain things read in it...csdt would be a better bet i think..

is there any new edition of CSDT after 2006 edition
will 2006 edition be sufficint
