'm back after few days posting at orthopaedics
trauma centre( a real trauma) so i din get chance to post here(wud not have got it if i wudn't have decide to leave orthopaedics
as a whole).well i'l answer few queries here to best of my knowledge:
@micky-retainng is a problem with many of us,few ways-make mnemonics evrywhere even fpr the simplest of things write them in big letters highlighted just near the explanation of the question,n write in small near each letter what it stands for, keep on revising your self made mnemonics, for multiple revisions of at elat mk aa i made a way for myself, while doing subj guides whenevr i looked for a ques in mk or aa i jus wnet though all ques very fast of that subj to see whther i know all the answers if the ques is repaet verbatim
@drshilpasingh-my reason for recomindng pgi guide was that it almost covers whole of your preparation as most exam pick up from these three--but most importantly my reason for doing it ws that i had spoiled whole of my final year so i cudn't leave 10 yrs major ques as those were a kind of first read for me in paedia, surgery, anaesth, rad, gyn etc
but if u do subjectwise then also i's covered automatically, though pgi questions create a lot of confusion too.so my reason was a bit different
-h17th-reading H ante is not of graet help,i read second volume a good amount but it din really help in the end, keep sticking to one book coz u have a snap of pages in ur mind if u go through that book again n again fr references,i did my medicine from the older edition of MK med, even if u read one read it many times.
-i din give any mock test still since i have seen many papers i go with kan, BHATIA is better than iams for fts-there are a lot of crap questions in iams which will waste ur time,it's better to give allen's -u'l see AIIMS
nov matches more to allen's kind of papers while AIIMS
may mostly to bhatia kind-that's my view.don know fr speed or dams.but i think one shud not give many tests jus once a month is muct and sufficient
thanx n best of luck to all of you(perhaps to me myslef too) n keep rocking that's of utmost importance
