Quick Scroll which book to follow for Psychiatry ? 06.07.08 (4 months ago) #1

everyone recommends neeraj ahuja for Psychiatry but somewhy i cant remember anything from it. it is so unnecessarily repeatitive and confusing and not-to-the-point. anyone else too feels the same or its only me. please suggest any other book which is better for prepg as well as mbbs prof exams point of view....

Many of us find hard to recall 4m ahuja. One way to improve is that dont try to remember it line by line, just try to make a mental image of concepts and think as if u r viewing actual patient. And 4 pg u dont need even ahuja, just read across sarp guide and that is more than much and if u want to master it n if u want to read only Psychiatry whole the yr go 4 kaplan suddok.

hello aimit...yeah kaplan and saddock will be too much. have you seen kaplan step 2 Psychiatry notes? i found it quite easy to digest... which one'd be better kaplan notes or SARP? BTW is SARP a short theory book or an MCQ book with explanations like across books?

Across vol. 1 by saumya sukla covering sarp subjects is topicwise mcq n expln, read this, not the old sarp by scientific publication.I dont know abt kaplan note bt i think it will be good bcoz USMLE books cover all the basic and core points.Compare it with high yeild Psychiatry ...Its a easy going book.
