i want to know what exactly is the job profile of a microbiologist in a pharmaceutical company? i have been told that like MD pharma, MD micro people are also absorbed by these companies.

Yes, but the numbers are negligible when compared to MD Micro.. They might need more MSc micro..than MD as such..Many antibiotics are extracted from microbes only. So they should be needing them.
