this q has been repeated twice in the book with same ans:
sum of all square of deviation from mean is:
a.variance
b.mode
c.mean
d.standard deviation
ans given is d.standard dev.... but im missing my roots?!

Mean:
Mean is calculated by summing of all observations and dividing by the number of the observations.

Variance
Expresses the amount of the dispersion in the data and is calculated by taking the sum of the square of the deviations from the mean value and divided by sample size subtracting one observation


Standard deviation

Square root of the variance
