what are the advantages and disadvantages of joining MD radiodiagnosis in BPKIHS , dharan , nepal ? i am really confused ? please help me out ???

I have recently graduated from BPKIHS, so i think i can help you on this issue.

well radiology dept at bpkihs is averagely good. They have a fair inflow of patients, CT scan(which remains out of order, frequently) and MRI facilities.A little bit of interventional radiology is also being practiced.

All senior faculty in the department are nepalese. But they are good, all of them have done pg from good institutes like AIIMS .

the general atmosphere in the department is congenial but a bit laid back.
Till recently, the pg teaching schedule was very dismal and there were no actual teaching learning activities or classes going on.however recently, the department has started regular seminars and discussions for pg students. I've heard its getting more organised and strict now.
however most pgs in the department say that you have to mostly learn everything by yourself or from immediate seniors.

there are many Indians working in the dept as PGs or SRs.Many Indians have done their PG from there and are pracitising in India.The only disadvantage being that it is NOT MCI RECOGNISED, it will limit your opportunities back home.

i have a few queries reg the pg exam
are there 2 sessions for the pg exam?
how does one need to prepare for it
i mean books etc
