Which of the following is added to stored blood to prevent fall of 2,3DPG levels in the blood
a)citrate
b)phosphate
c)Oxalate
d)All of above

All of the above? What is used in blood banks is usually Acid Citrate Phosphate Dextrose. (ACPD). Right? And if I remember right even oxalate prevents fall of 2,3-DPG .

hi dear u are right . its citrate which is used to store blood in blood bank. its not oxalate for this purpose
